How do to get rid of fleas and ticks without using chemicals onto dogs body ?

I have a problem with chemicals and so does my dog. We are both extremely sensitive to any chemicals to treat ticks and fleas with. Something that I could buy at a local grocery store without any problems would be fantastic. I do live in a very rural area, where there are more cows than people. Homeopathy-tick and flea removel are unfortunately out of my range of buying. any other sugjestions?
Thank you ! annie h.

What is the best store bought product for getting rid of ticks in the yard.?

I have a dog who has really brought a tick problem……I have had her dipped at the vet and the exterminators have even sprayed that yard..About two weeks later I felt the ticks were just as bad all over again. Does anybody have some good recommendations as to what to get that I can use for the lawn to kill the ticks…

If you have a local farmers co-op near by, get some
T T & O 38 insecticide. Use 2-ozs per gallon of water.
Or put 1-pint in 10-15 gal. sprayer.
Spray the entire yard. It will take care of any ticks, fleas,
ants…etc.
Keeps dogs off for about 1/2 day or until it drys. And do
not spray it into any standing water that the dog may drink.

What is the best way to naturaly repel ticks when living in the country?

We live in the northern mid west of the US and want to know the best way to naturally keep ticks and mosquitos away-but mainly ticks since they are so bothersome! Also a good way to repel them from clothes hanging on the clothes line so I don’t bring them into the house. The more natural and earth friendly the better since we are trying to get into organic farming for our own health benefits. Any help would be wonderful!

Guinea hens are like tick eaters. Get a dozen of them and they might eat all the ticks. They make a good watch dog too and will let you know when someone comes to your house.
