What are some flea remedies you can use on kittens under 12 weeks old?

I would like something natural or over the counter. We have one kitten that isn’t weaned yet but is covered in fleas. It was the child of a few stray cats in the neighborhood. What can we do to kill them?
Have YOU ever tried dipping a scared kitten into a bucket of water? It will scratch the crap out of us! I don’t think we can do that.

Really, the only thing you can do,short of taking it to the vet,is to bathe it with a mild shampoo, dry thoroughly to avoid chilling the kitten, and comb the remaining fleas out with a flea comb.Make sure to have a cup of hot, soapy water or alcohol to kill the fleas in.Keep combing everyday. If you’re afraid of getting scratched, clip the kitten’s claws with a human nail clipper first ( just the sharp tips) and put a towel in the bottom of the tub/sink for it to hold onto. Many kittens don’t even put up a fuss when bathed, except to meow a lot!

You can also get pills called "Capstar" from your vet to give to the kitten. The pills cause all of the adult fleas to die within an hour and they are very safe.I think the kitten needs to weigh two pounds, but you could give half a tablet,my cousin is a dog groomer and does it all the time with no problems.

For the people saying to use Frontline or Advantage, the kitten is less than 12 weeks.
